Birth record of Joan Joseph Theisen from Niederadenau
Today, on the 22nd day of the month of March 1879 [comment by Gary: The researcher who sent this document to Gary on Mon 7/15/2024 7:58 AM, Simon Schmitz at the State Main Archives Koblenz stated in his email: “(1) born 1815 Niederadenau Order 655,002 VK No. 284 Birth, marriage and death register of the mayor's office of Adenau 1815.” He obviously had the benefit of seeing the record in context of the book it came from], came to me, mayor of the parish of Adenau, officer of the civil registry of the parish Niederadenau, Adenau, Rhein and Mosel districts:
Joan Michel Theisen, farmer, 22 years of age, residing in Niederadenau, who declared to me that this afternoon, his wife Maria Catharina Müller gave birth to a child of male sex. The child was given the name Joan Joseph.
The above report and the presentation of the child happened in the presence of the witnesses Joan Joseph Bündgen, farmer, 30 years of age, and Peter Joseph Bauer [somewhat unsure of “Peter”], farmer, 43 years of age, both from Leimbach. The witnesses signed this report with me after it had been read aloud.
