    Notes 
    • Mom (Susan Theisen) tells the story that was handed down to her by her mother, Ruth Rohleder, that Delia "read tea leaves" with the local Indian's during their visits. She was also interested in some of their herbal or natural medicines because Delia was also a midwife in Oconto Falls. Grandma Ruth used to say that Delia delivered more babies than Ol Doc [mom forgot the name grandma used to say].

      Delia kept a scrapbook of Oconto Falls newspaper articles. Mom (Susan Theisen) was unsure if this was a hobby of her's. Aunt Judy had one of the scrapbooks. See pictures for Delia.

    • Williams baptismal record from St. John the Baptist Catholic church in Smithon Illinois, gives the following information: His birth name was Paul Henry William Wittmann and he was born on "undecimo die decembris 1868" or on the 11th day of December. His death certificate and his 50th Wedding Anniversary announcement stated he was born on the 10th. This might possibly have been confused with his baptismal date which was on "Decimo die januarii" or the 10th day of January, 1869.

      He went by William Wittmann during his adult life.

      Grandma Ruth Rohleder wrote his name as 'Bill' on several family photos.
