Could any of these Williams be the one tracing back to Richard Warren of Mayflower, or is there a Mayflower line through any of their wives? 1. SMITH. Hannah Smith, wife of Phillip Sherman (John Dempster Sherman Mss. in New York Public Library), was daughter of John Smith. Dorcas Smith, wife of Benjamin Hawes, was daughter of Benjamin Smith, son of Rev. John Smith. Were these John Smiths the same man? And was he the Rev. John Smith that married Susanna Hinckley?
2. WARD. Was Samuel Ward, father of Martha Ward (wife of Isaac Lobdell), of the same family as "Ward Family Descendants of William Ward?"
